Looking for things that will make an interesting photo is second nature to me. On a 6th grade field trip to a local wildlife refuge I took my first photograph, a slightly blurry, underexposed photo of a red-winged blackbird sitting on a marshy reed, and it was the start of a lifelong love of photography.
When you capture a moment in a photograph, a memory lives forever.
Photography inspires us to pay attention to our surroundings and to the world outside ourselves.
I photograph things that catch my eye, and in doing that, capture the world and its beauty in our everyday lives.
Whether it's a dramatic landscape, a rescued feline, or a determined little flower growing out of a crack in the pavement, beauty is everywhere.
Look around, you‘ll see the beauty, and the more you look, the more you’ll find.
